This is an important part of the prayer life of the Parish, and involves a group of parishioners who make a commitment to have the statue of Mary and say the Rosary in their homes from a Sunday to a Friday evening 3-4 times a year.
Some of our current hosts have neighbours join them, while others say the prayer by themselves.
This is a small group, approximately 14 families, who have a devotion to the Rosary as a form of prayer and who are happy to make the commitment as stated above. A weekly record of prayer intentions is kept, and so the group is aware of the needs of other co-hosts as well as the wider Parish community.
No Parish resources are required to maintain the group, and the participants are all active members of the general Parish community. Participation in the Group has led to the development of many friendships and contacts between parishioners who otherwise had not met or had any close contact with each other. An end of year Gathering is held to reflect on the blessings and difficulties that the year has brought and to build on the friendships and interests that are being developed. New members are always welcome, as each year there is attrition due to members becoming ill and or moving away from the Parish.
